WELCOME TO 2012 FACE OF ORIGIN

ABOUT THE COMPETITION - WHAT ENTRANTS NEED TO KNOW

 
REQUIREMENTS:
The contest is for females 18 years or over on or before 1st May 2012.

HEATS AND FINALS – VENUES:
Venues will conduct their preliminary heats and finals between 16th May and 17th June. Venue Final winners will advance and compete at the Face Of Origin Grand Final in Sydney.
 
IF SELECTED TO ATTEND FACE OF ORIGIN GRAND FINAL:
You will need to be available from 1pm on Monday July 2 through to 10am Thursday July 5.  Please ensure you advise your employer or university to give appropriate notice for time away to attend. All Grand Finalists are required to stay together at the official hotel accommodation. Meals are provided. Finalists coming from interstate (QLD, NT, WA, VIC) will be provided with 1 return flight to Sydney. 
 
CLOTHING GUIDE:
You will participate in 2 Judging Rounds at your nearest Venue. Each contestant is allowed on stage for 60 seconds per section to her own choice of music.
 
Section 1 – THEME WEAR:
“Little Black Shorts” and a top that best represents your favorite footy team.  This could be a top, singlet, official shirt with a team scarf etc. This section should reflect your personality and individuality.
 
Section 2 – SWIMWEAR:
Bring your own piece of Swimwear (bikini or one piece) and you will be judged on Appearance and Poise.
 
Note: Some venues may elect to do a third section called After 5 Fashion or Sponsored Wear. Remember to ask your Venue if this section will be part of the night’s formalities.  
 
MAKEUP AND HAIR:
In all categories you must do your own hair and makeup for preliminary heats and finals.
 
HOW TO ENTER:
Pending where you live, simply click on NSW or QLD in the top left Menu and email the State Coordinator for locations and running dates of your nearest participating venue.
